color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardWe just returned from Mexico, and I thought since I spent so much time reading reviews on trip advisor, I should write one of my own! My husband and I and our kids ages 7 and 10 spent 5 days at the Iberostar and absolutely loved it. The property itself was one of the most beautiful I have seen. The kids loved all the birds and animals around....flamingos, parrots, turtles, etc. I was prepared for all the walking from reading other reviews, but we actually enjoyed it and it felt good after so much eating! The kids didn't mind it at all- they enjoyed taking different paths and seeing the sights. We loved the food at the buffets- even my picky son could always find something to eat. Definitely make your reservations at the restaurants when you arrive- I made one the first day and was told the week wasn't busy so I could make my other reservations later, and then when I went back the next afternoon my choices were somewhat limited. Our favorite was definitely the Mexican, but we enjoyed the Brazilian and the steakhouse as well. The staff was excellent- always smiling and friendly, very accommodating. Our room was in building 11- close to the beach but about a 10 minute walk from the main restaurants. Our room was always clean and well-stocked- the kids looked forward to seeing what towel "sculpture" our maid left for us each day. The beach was gorgeous- the kids spent hours in the ocean every day. We didn't spend a whole lot of time at the pool- the water was fairly cold. Overall a wonderful family vacation destination.....would love to go back!
