color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardMy wife and I have just returned, Feb 08 2005, after 2 weeks at this resort.
We have stayed at many venues within the Caribbean and must say that this hotel is the best we have experienced for food,service,room facilities and cleanliness.
This is a large resort as stated in previous reviews.
The restaurants, which are pre-bookable, are very good apart from the Tropical which we found to be below the standard of the others.
We had no trouble booking restaurants,i.e. no long lines of people waiting.
Try a trip to Xel Ha, it is the most amazing place I have ever encountered
a true Heaven on earth.
Walk along the beach at the Paraiso, ( in the direction of Playa), and you will come across Paradise Beach,Miraroma, powder white sand and bluest of seas.
You can take a drink at the bar or eat at the restaurant and use the sun-loungers on the beach.
The walk from the Paraiso beach is 3 miles approx or take a taxi from the front of the hotel, but the walk is well worth it .
Only complaint I would make to the Iberostar management is when guests from the Del Mar and Beach book a table at the Italian restaurant in the Lindo,where they can eat and drink all they like in the restaurant, but are not allowed a nightcap in the Lindo lobby bar. This was quite embarrassing and somewhat petty. Any comments from management???
On the whole this was a very enjoyable holiday and would recommend it to others,who obviously like the same things we do. Everyone has different tastes !
