Iberostar Message Board

The staff at the Iberostar Paraiso del mar in the Mayan, Riviera are absolutely wonderful as well as the grounds, the rooms and all of the entertainment. The starfriends were wonderful and very talented.

My husband and I took our 2 children to the resort from March 17 - 24, 2005 inclusive. We had a wonderful time and our 2 children ages 7 and 13 cannot still stop talking about the vacation. The pool there is beautiful, the buffets and the ala carte restaurants are stellar. The only complaint that we ever had was the rough ocean water but that is hardly a complaint, as the alternative was the wonderful huge pool areas. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very very clean. I cannot say enough (still speechless and it has been over a month). We will definately stay there again and have highly recommended the resort to family and friends.

We had a very "bad" experience" at the Iberostar Cozumel in early February of this year ... but let me tell you not all Iberostar's are the same. We met some wonderful people from the United States and elsewhere and developed some new friendships for both ourselves and our children ... we will definately go back. Also, there is a shuttle bus to Playa del Carmen every hour during the day back and forth and there is very reasonable deals on everything from T-shirts to souveniers as well as our daughters had there hair braided by a very good hair braider for a reasonable rate. We intend to be back in 2006, at one of the Iberostars on the Mayan Riviera. Go and enjoy as we certainly did.
