color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardOkay guys where do I start. Iberostar Del Mar is just amazing. There was 3 couples on this trip. We stayed May 14-May 19, 2005. And we just had the time of our lives. We like to party and boy did we party, don't get me wrong we did do R&R.
Grounds: Gorgeous, very tropical, peaceful, and relaxing.
Rooms: I personally stayed in building #15 room #1531. It's about mid way between the lobby and beach. Walks at night are wonderful. If you're too tired get on a trolley or golf cart the "Stars" will be glad to take you to your room. Nice size rooms very roomy, king size bed, balcony w/ view, walk-in shower w/ double shower heads, mini-bar stocked with mexican beer, bottle water, and sodas everyday. Maids were great made elephants, rabbits, etc. out of towels petals from flowers on the bed and curtains. If you need a iron they are hard to come by. You can get one but only for 1hr. or bring a travel size with you. Just call the front desk and they'll bring one to you.
Food: Was great, no complaints here. Buffets always had something different variety of foods for everyone to enjoy. Made reservations at 3 restaurants. Italian was great, Topical was Rib-Eye and shrimp didnt make it to dinner was passed out on bed from drinking too much. The other couples in our group said it was great. Japanese, a little dissapointed didnt get to make it to dinner either. We were having too much fun in the pool, w/ Roberto (bartender) and Consuello thanks again!!!!
Beach: Very nice and relaxing, some days just got too hot and we would head over to the pool and hang out at the bar. Fun Place!!!
Alcohol: Let's just say there's enough to go around for everyone. Try the tequila boom-boom shooters, they are great. Americans are hard to come by alot of Europeans, so everytime we met Americans we would get them a boom-boom shooter. Thanks again newlyweds from Virgina (Boston Rob and Wife) you guys are awesome. American beer is very hard to come by at Del Mar. All they serve is Dos Equis on tap it's a little warm. Our husbands got burned out on it quick. Luckily for us we had an ice chest and went to the local mini mart and stocked up on Bud Light, rolled it down to the pool and had a great time. All the Americans were like where did you get that, we had enough to go around and shared with our new friends. Bring you Sam's Club or Costco card though it's cheaper there, then the mini mart.
Entertainment and Activites: Too many to list, but I guarantee you won't be bored, there is always something going on.
