color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardWhat a fantsic hotel. Myself, my wife and our 10 year old daughter spent 14 days at the Del mar.
Our first ever trip to Mexico and to a all inclusive hotel. Our room, food, location, entertainment etc were all first class. We could not fault it and we are making plans to go back next year.
We tried to get block 10, which is nearest the sea, but it appears that only the americans get that one !!!.
WARNING the hotel needs to seriously get the pool steps fixed due to broken coral effect tiles exposing a sharp edge that will cut soft feet.
We saw many people cut their feet on these steps.
Also a warning to all Brits going to Cancun, make sure you put aside 50 dollers per person to pay for your exit out of the country. No money and you dont leave !!
Also if you plan to take the trip to Playa Del Carmen, expect to get harrased by shop keepers inviting you into their shops, and time share people maskarading as friendly locals. !!! you have been warned.
That said, its great, go there and enjoy !!.
