color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardMy husband and I visited this gorgeous resort November 2-6, 2004 to celebrate our anniversary. We were without our kids for the first time in 13 years so I booked a honeymoon junior suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony. The room was so beautiful! It was large, bright and comfortable. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was that we were on the first floor and what I thought was going to be a private balcony with jacuzzi was only a few feet from the walkway and in plain sight. We still enjoyed this room very much and it was in the closest building to the beach and the pool. The grounds and the architecture of the buildings at the Lindo are absolutely stunning! There are so many beautiful plants and flowers in more colors than you can count. The numerous pool areas are Huge! There were always lounge chairs and palapas available anytime of the day. The pool deck is very slippery. We saw a few people wipeout. The beach was long and wide with more than enough lounge chairs and palapas. I was surprised to see fairly large waves and not the calm caribbean waters we expected. We did have fun body surfing. There are bars everywhere and we sampled them all. Some of the tropical drinks were exellent and some were a bit disappointing. The food was good but not great. The pizza is awesome-we were surprised-Good Mexican Pizza! The ice cream is the best we ever had-so many fantastic flavors! We ate at the Steakhouse(very good), the Cajun (excellent) and the Japanese (only OK). We both tried a lot of different things, drank plenty of drinks with both crushed and cubed ice and neither of us got sick. Lastily, the service at his resort is impeccable. The staff is super friendly and always trying to please. The housecleaning staff does a fabulous job at keeping your room spotless and making sure you always have what you need. I really don't think you can have a bad time at the Lindo! I would highly recommend it!
