color=#0000ff>   Iberostar Message BoardWe booked at the IPB for Nov 13-20th and upon arrival was offered an upgrade to the Lindo. Now I would like to believe that we were offered this free upgrade because I had just given 3 of the most helpful staff person's that helped me with many questions and booking my mother in with us at the last minute, small personal gifts from Wisconsin. I'm sure they were just over booked but if felt good anyway as our Lomas guy made it sound like we were given special treatment.

Anyway, I was reluctant as I had done all of this research on IPB and had my heart set on that resort but seing they said the rooms were larger and there would be in room coffee and irons I thought what the heck. I am so glad we made the upgrade.

First of all, all three resorts are top notch and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at either one of them again in the future. Our particular experience during that week was that the people staying at the Del Mar and Beach seemed much friendlier and were more polite than some of the people we had encountered at the Lindo. We didn't let that spoil our vacation we just understood how our values of being polite were pretty important to our whole family. I'm sure this was just some isolated cases so I don't want you thinking all people that stay there are snobby or anything. We met some very friendly people and you girls from Oshkosh WI if you read this email me so we can get together sometime!

The resort itself and staff are just wonderful. They are so attentive to detail. We had a blast at all of the ala carte places and especially enjoyed the Mexican buffet. There was so much to choose from at every buffet it made it difficult to narrow down what to eat. Even though there were only a few entree choices at the ala carte places the food was still wonderful. Make sure you make reservations for every place you want the day you arrive and then plan your week around that.

Be careful in the water as there were rocks that were uncovered from the hurricanes. I stubbed my toe and loss my glasses as a wave hit me when I was trying to steady myself back up. Oh well, I saw many others lose their glasses as well so I guess a lot of us had to go bargain in town to get a new pair of sun shades.

The pool was cleaner at the Lindo than at the beach but they both were still pretty amazing sites. My six year old was overwhelmed with it all and decided he liked the ocean better and said it was way better than the wave pool.

We were so tired that it was hard to stay up for the entertainment but when we did we thought it was very entertaining and the wait staff were wonderful coming around and delivering drinks the whole night through. I wish the Lindo had a disco or something after 11pm as we were always so tired we said the heck with going over to Del Mar lets go to bed. Now I regret not getting over there.

There just isn't a negative thing to say about the Lindo. I fear that I will never be able to stay at an all inclusive without judging it against the wonderful quality we had at the Lindo. I hope it doesn't spoil future vacations for us if I compare everything to the standards we had here.

All three resorts were beautiful and even if the other resorts don't have air and only offer ala cart a few times during the stay I would never hesitate staying there. These are great resorts that pamper and cater to your every needs right down to the room service.

We did tip about $100 during our stay and even if you don't tip you still get the superb treatment from all of the staff members. We loved the atmosphere at the Del Mar Lobby bar. The bar tenders were really funny. I highly recommend this resort and just so you know we had our 6 year old son with but didn't see a lot of children. There were an incredible amount of children staying at the Del mar and beach. I think the Lake pool definately will attract more families than the Lindo will especially if the Lindo constistently costs a bit more. I didn't notice many singles but there were a lot of people walking holding hands!
