color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardI visited this resort from January 6-14, 2005. I was very impressed by several things about the resort and the level of excellence Iberostar puts into their resorts.
My first impression of the resort was that of beauty. The grounds and buildings are kept spotless. My room was very clean and beautifully decorated, with all accessories and appliances easily at hand. The balcony was large and dry. The bed was extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. Maid service was completed daily by 10 am.
The pools are very well laid out and I did not find them cool. In fact I thought they were slightly warm. I do recommend wearing running shoes or water shoes as the decks surrounding the pools get very slippery. It was windy each day I was at the resort, so I was not able to go sailing on one of the resorts small sailboats or go snorkeling. I did go beach combing way down the shoreline.
The restaurants are excellent. In the mornings and at lunch, the food is served buffet style. There is plenty of choice and never did I find a shortage of any of the varied dishes. There is plenty of seating for all. I found Samuel Nava to be of exceptional service. Watch for Glendy to "shake her booty" for you in an improve dance! In the evening they still offer great buffet dinners, or ala carte at the various specialty restaurants. These people offer superb service each and every day. Everyone offers you an "Hola" and a smile when they greet you. Never does your glass empty of drink.
The nightly entertainment at the theatre is high energy and extremely well performed. They get the audience involved in portions of the show. I had the opportunity of speaking with the very talented Jessica Stewart, who gives a great performance every night. Many of the performers also entertain during the day beside the pools.
Over all, I would highly recommend this resort.
