color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardMy sister and I just returned from a paraiso lindo with our family. We were there from Feb 12-19th. This was our third time in Mexico(twice in Iberostar Cozumel.) We are 16 and 13 and we love Iberostar! at this resort we found that the food wasn't what we expected but it was still pretty good, some of the restaurants were better then others. Also the blowdryers don't have very high power, so bring your own. The area by the pool was slippery at times but they have staff working on trying to fix that problem.
As teenagers we loved the star friends! they are great to have around to talk to and great to get to know. They are all very nice and provide lots of entertainment. They are the ones that do the activities during the day and shows at night. Almost all of them are amazing dancers and it's a lot of fun to watch them dance and dance with them later in the evening. William is amazing at the dancing like Michael Jackson! Edgar and Marcelo are great to talk to and just all the star friends are wonderful people to get to know.
There is lots of activities offered throughout the day, such as archery, water aerobics, beach volleyball, water polo, water basketball, darts, ping pong, water volleyball, learning the club dance, soccer, wave pool, lazy river, basketball, horseshoes, bocce, dance lessons and tons more. we defintly recomend the dance lessons, they are lots of fun and you learn a lot! (and who doesn't want to dance with a hot star friend?)
The shows at night are VERY entertaining, for all age groups. They have a kid's show earlier in the night, then live music for a little while. Vaughn is an amazing singer, so the live music is good. They then have a particaption game for the guests, and the winner usually wins a t-shirt. They then have a cartoon and then the main show. The main shows can be guest participations or the star friends dancing but either way they make it great.
From 11-3 in the morning there is a disco. it can be fun if you go with people and dance but there isn't very many people who go and it is pretty smokey in there.
The resort is beautiful! and it is really hard to come back to normal life after having your bed made for you, food cooked for you, drinks whenever you want, ice cream at any time in the day, entertaining shows, friendlyness of people, and always having something to do. It's a great opportunity to meet people from all around the world. Even though there are imperfections,overall it is just an amazing place and you'll remember things from it forever.
