color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardI wanted to write a good review that I hope will help some people out in the future. As I used this very same site to get a lot of reviews from others and it helped me to make my decision. So I hope I can do the same for someone else.
My wife and I went to the Iberostar Lindo between the dates of April 27 to May 5. I have to just sum it up and say that it was nothing short of fantastic. The grounds around the place were immaculate. They kept that place very clean. The place is bright and vibrant and very pleasing to the eye.
There were many restaurants to go to. Our favorite was the Steak House. It’s too bad that we did not get to go to that one till the second to last night. I am pretty sure if we could have gone there earlier in the week, we would have gone there again later on in the week.
All the restaurants were very very good. The wait staff was always there to get what you needed and to take away your dishes as you finished. I have to say that they were excellent. I know they do not expect tips down there, but I could not help but to give them something. They had to be some of the hardest working people I have ever seen. All the restaurants had a wide selection of food to choose from. You have to book them early. Usually right before you check in to your room. I know that people said that you should do the whole week ahead of time. But I know that me and my wife changed our picks several times and never had a problem getting a reservation at anyone we picked.
All the restaurants were 'themed' so they have Italian, Steak House, Cajun, Mexican, Japanese (we did not make it to this one), and several more that I am forgetting off the top of my head. If you did not make reservations for any night, its no problem, they have 24 hour room service and one location that serves as a Buffet type place where you can go in and get anything you want that they serve. Make sure you go to the other side of the hotel, as it has this way way cool bar that looks like a Incan pyramid(if you go to the steak house, its right in the same place) from the outside. Trust me; you will know it when you get in there!
The pools were AWESOME! The swim up bar was great! The wife's favorite drink was the Blue Hawaii. The beach was excellent! The water was very clear and very pretty. There was a constant breeze coming off the ocean, so it was like a little slice of heaven.
The only complaint I have was the beds. Like others mentioned, I know I read more people make the same comment. The beds were really firm. So that was a little rough.
I will just sum it all up by saying, I am damn happy we went here, and do not regret anything. And there is not a day that has gone by since then that I have not thought about the food/pools/beach/sun/drinks and everything else that went along with the trip!!
