Wow, reading this review "Very disappointing vacation." I wouldn't want to vacation at this resort. I really think that this individual just got really unlucky with the weather. My wife and I got married at this resort on June 15th, 2005. We were at the resort from June 9th through June 21st. This was the very start of the rainy season in this area. We were extremely lucky in that we saw one day of rain the entire time, the rest of the days being nothing but sunshine. However, from talking with the locals, this time of year is rainy and stormy, hence the previous review. Sorry buddy, you went at the wrong time of the year.

This resort is wonderful, the people that work here will bend over backward for you just to ensure that you are happy. We had a group of 14 with us for a week and everyone had a great time. I have about 500 pictures to prove just how wonderful this place really is. It was the most magical wedding that I could have ever planned. I have so many fond memories of this place. The food is terrific, the drinks are great (dirty monkey is my fav). Everything about this place is top notch.

For those of you getting married and planning it abroad, this is the place. Feel free to email me with any questions. The wedding coordinators Elizabeth and Anna Ruth are the best. And I have to give a nod to Rene, the best concierge at the resort!!
