color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardWe stayed July 7th - 14th. We were late getting to the resort because of American Airlines (thats another story), but we finally arrived at 9pm and were greeted right away and our luggage taken care of. Check in was quick, I was offered a welcome drink and off to our rooms we were taken. We had connecting rooms 3103 (kingsize bed) and 3104 (2 full beds). Our 12 and 14 year old daughters were with us. The room is very close to the pool and it is a single story with a thatched roof. It would rain later in the night and we had no problems with leaks. I would request these rooms again on our next visit. The restaurant that we used most of the time was the one located by the pool. It is buffet style and outdoors. The flies were not that bad while we were there and there was a lot of different foods to choose from. Lots of fruit, pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs were there everynight. one night there was lobster tail and another night a good variety of different shrimp dishes. There were always plenty of dessert dishes and ice cream. I never had a problem finding something to eat. My husband and I renewed our wedding vows on the beach and they made us feel like royalty for the day. We had a great dinner in the Mexican restaurant for our wedding and they made the best wedding cake. They even surprised us by going into our room while we were eating and made towel swans and other decorations on our bed and bathroom and put flower petals everywhere. The beach is not that bad. It is not very deep and a little rocky, but if you go into the water from the pier you will have fun seeing all the fish by the dock. We swam along the rope edge and saw lots of fish, starfish, and yellow sting rays. We went night snorkeling there one night with our flashlights and saw a moray eel right by the pier and 2 octopus. Also saw more stingrays and lobsters hidden under things. The evening shows were really good. They do a great job entertaining you. They are definitely family oriented and have a lot of things for the kids to stay busy. My children were never bored and after the evening show, they would open the rock cafe where my kids would go to dance with the new friends they made. I made it to the rock cafe once, but usually was tired by 11 pm from all our daily activities. I loved the jungle atmosphere of this hotel. We had no problems with any critters. Definitely bring plenty of bug spray. I brought Off with 25% deet and had no problems. We loved this resort and hated to leave. But I will go back to Coz again and will definitely stay at the Iberostar again.
