Spent 10 nights at IHD from 15-2th October . Found the hotel to be first class regarding, room, reception, lobby and maid sevice.Gardens are still recovering a bit from the hurricane but were nice. artificial beach was fine as was the sea for cleanliness and for swimming pool was very well maintained.
Food provided at the "theme " restaurants was at least hot and presentable which is a lot better than your daily buffets which were bordering on uneatable some days. Virtually the same repetitive food every lunchtime and the breakfast and dinner buffets although more varied seemed become very boring.
The main problem we had at this hotel was that I caught food poising from a lukewarm dish one day and i am still 3 weeeks later suffering .We also felt that the quality and selection of drinks provided left a lot to be desired.
Overall value for money if you don't get food poising but many people had upset stomachs during our stay there!
