color=#0000ff> Iberostar Message BoardStayed at the IBH easter week and enjoyed it. This was our 5th IB; once in punta cana and three in mexico. IBH quality was consistent, ie. manicured grounds, spacious and nicely decorated rooms, food options, friendly and helpful staff. The IBH reminded me of a mini IB Lindo in Playa del Carmen in terms of architecture and layout. There were three pools; one sports pool, one large round deep pool that scuba used and the main pool which was separated by islands of vegetation. Gave you the impression of many smaller pools. This created many private areas to lounge poolside. Pool bar was excellant and accessable. Buidings were 3 level, sqaure shaped with a courtyard in the middle. This provided a very nice spot to sit in the shade in a quiet place.
Beach was large and long. Water was clear and carribean blue, only one windy day with waves. Beach was very close to pool area so it was easy to go between. Beach bar was fun and close and provided an excellant sunset view.
Lobby bar was fun for cocktail hr. Shows were typical IB. No night life other than disco which was mainly college age kids.
Food was good, especially the mexican with the coronas! Buffet seemed to have more variety.
$20 cab ride to Bayibe but nothing there other than a good small cigar maker. $50 cab, 45 minutes to LaRomana. Lots of fun with a lot of shops.
Played golf at teeth of Dog.$220, caddy tip, $47 to rent clubs plus cab!!!!!
Scuba diving was good at Catalina wall. Better than Jamaca, Playa etc but not cozemel or Bonaire.
One and half hr drive from punta cana airport but interesting.
I rate this as an excellant resort and would go back.
