Me and my partner stayed at the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicas on the 5th May, and when you arrive you def get the wow hit you! The shiny floors and the chandeliers are incredible, plus the drink on arrival is well appreciated!! When arriving in our room it was very tidy and spacious we were on block 5 whick was central and close to the restaurants, however i think i would of preferred a block overlooking the sea i think its block 7, we could see nothing from our balcony just palm trees. It was nice as the bellboys brought the luggage to our room. They also ring you to let you know if your happy with everything in your room which i thought was excellent service. The 1st week it took some time to get use to finding everywhere cause its such a big hotel! We used the swimming pool quite a bit, which is very nice and the swim up bar which comes in handy. The beach is beautiful and the sea is crystal clear. There is 4 speciality restaurants a Japenese, Mexican, Colonial and Steakhouse, we preferred the Japanese with the show cooking it is good fun and food is excellent, The Steakhouse is also nice, more romantic, The Colonial was Lobster which i enjoyed very much! and the Mexican was where we went when we were ready for a big night out drinking cause you get loads of Tequillas after your meal! I thought most of the staff were very friendly, cant remember all of there names though! They got use to us though in the Disco and remembered our drinks! The only let downs for us was the weather, the whole of our 2nd week it chucked it down with rain, but apparently it does this the last 2 weeks of May, as it is the build up to hurricane season so beware! And the entertainment was not really for us more families. We just headed for the disco most nights. We did enjoy the stars in there eyes night especially Michael Jackson. Great for Families, Older Couples, Big groups/Weddings.
