color=#0000ff>   Iberostar Message BoardWe stayed at this hotel for 7 nights June 12th - 19th.
We have traveled to about 10 hotels in the Carribean area, including
others in the Dominican. I am giving this hotel all 5 stars, but since
all other reviews write all the good stuff, I will simply inform about
some things which could have been improved. However, these things, as
listed below, are no big deal and the hotel proved to be everything it
claimed to be.

1. No (alarm) clocks in rooms, very very annoying.
2. No irons / ironing boards in rooms.
3. ONLY 2 GOOD MOVIE CHANNELS (HBO and Cinemax). I know you don't goon vacation to watch TV, but after spending all day in the burning
sun, a good movie under air conditioning wouldn't hurt.
4. Food was good, not any better than any other 5-star restort though.
5. The entertainment team was not as good as from other resorts. The "Star Friends Show" was very funny though.

This is not a bad thing, but just a fact, not too many Americans there. Mostly everyone from UK, Germany, Belgium - but mostly the UK.

Advice -

1. We asked for second-floor ocean view. They told us it was not available at check-in, but they moved us the second day we were there. It was worth it since we only had 2 bags to move. It was nice coming out on the balcony and feeling the ocean breeze. You too can ask for ocean view (maybe try slipping a $20, although we didn't this time).

2. Do to the Ocean Adventure Park - You'll get some AMAZING pictures. We did dolphin swim for $145 per person, I didn't think it was worth it. We were in the water for about 20 minutes with the dolphin with 10 other people. Yes, we got amazing pictures and got to touch the dolphins, but I expected much more for that price. You don't have to do dolphin swim to go to that park though. They also have snorkeling in a small fake aquarium, shows, sharks, etc.

3. Go to the beach markets to buy souvineers. You'll find them if you walk either way on the beach from the hotel. Just make sure to bargain well - we got things at 10% of the price they orginally quoted, meaning $10 for what they originally said was $100. They think all tourists are filthy rich.

4. Take Pepto Bismol with you. Although you shouldn't have problems, you can't go to the Dominican without it!

Have fun!
