Iberostar Message Board
I will start off by stating that I feel for people who were possibly robbed at this resort as one poster wrote but, my only advice is, use the safe in the bedroom for all belongings that will fit in it.
The resot was excellent.
Staff: friendly, fun, energetic WOW
Food: Average but for me, that was great.
Location and times of restaurants: The Pool buffets were good but sometimes I wished I could eat inside air conditioning at lunch
Pools: great
Rooms: Awesome
THE Star friends program: OUTSTANDING
Ok, the minor complaint I have is this. None really. LOL
My biggest complaint has nothing to do with the Hotel but rather the people who sit in the front of the hotel booking trips. There are 4 or 5 different companies there booking trips. I called from my room to check out a swim with the dolphins program. Best Day Tours kept trying to point me int he direction of XCARET. The price: $230 per person.
20 minutes later, I went down in person...same trip...$178...Within a few more minutes, the price dropped again.
I dealt with the Iberostar travel person who hooked us up with a Dolphin Swin for $100 USD.......much better than the other guys could do. Bottom line is this....look into all prices 2 and 3 times. Then speak with the Iberostar person and you will be treated very well. We were very pleased.
All in all, we had a great time. best part was, Secrets Excellence overbooked our honeymoon and we were forced to stay at Iberostar. I didn't mind Iberostar considering they at least let us have our honeynoon unlike Secrets Excellence. I didn't like all the kids around...not because i don't like kids...I have kids. I wanted my honeymoon kid free....but all in all, the Ibero Staff was great. Good job keep up the good work.
