color=#0000ff>   Iberostar Message BoardWe had a group of people and arrived at the resort just prior to hurricane Emily. We had a great time before the hurricane.
My only regret is that we did not get the full experience of the resort. The resort is still being put back together and I imagine it will be a while before the grounds are just as pretty as before. The beaches were still closed when we left. They do have workers working quickly, but it is an annoyance.
I will never go during hurricane season again, unless I knew for sure that my stay would not be interrupted. (although I now have a great hurricane story and can say I survived a CAT 4) I do not believe they gave us the information we needed to calm our nerves. There was no one giving us updates as far as the speed or exact location and even during the hurricane they did not tell us anything. We did not have AC for a while. and they were not always truthful about why. I really just think they were to busy putting other things back together that they did not fix it till they had the time and manpower to do it. Once they showed up, it took them a few minutes to do it. It was miserable while the AC was out about 24 hours, I was so ready to leave at that point.

But for a vacation without a hurricane I think you will be pleased. Take the advise of others make dinner reservations early. I liked the Pagado best (Chinese). Lots for the kids to do of all ages. But watch your teens who were able to order drinks with alcohol.

I would not stay as long either, the food does get old after a while but I was pleasantly surprised after reading the other buffet reviews. I have had worse. Even picky eating kids could find french fries,nachos, or pasta they would eat.

I would give it some time before going to let things get back to normal.
